The vibe is very mellow, not your pretentious “stick in the mud” bar, but also not the place for “beer guzzling and bar fights”. Amy’s is the perfect blend of “hip college scene meets Madison’s laid back feel”, and did we mention their generous drinks, and mouth watering menu? The grub at this campus Madison hotspot ranges from burgers and sandwiches to Greek bistro type fare, and each item is just as good as the next. Our pick would go to the Amy’s French Dip (thin sliced roast beef, dipped in hot au jus, topped with fried onions and melted provolone cheese, served on a fresh baked baguette) or The Spinach Cheese Pie (layers of phyllo dough stuffed with spinach and feta cheese, baked fresh daily. Served with rice pilaf, side Greek salad, and a small baguette), both are out of this world!
