The Plaza Tavern

The Plaza Tavern is a Madison campus favorite and tradition. If you are new to the campus or the downtown area in general, you have not lived like a true Madisonian until you have scarfed down a Plazaburger (loaded with secret sauce of course!). The Plaza's huge bar, its Wisconsin themed murals, and it's "come as you are" attitude make the Plaza Tavern a winner with Badger fans, students, and professionals alike. The menu consists of bar food favorites like onion rings, fries, burgers, and they are always good for about 9 or 10 yummy beers on tap. This place is not just famous among campus locals though, the history of The Plaza runs deep, and it has played host to people like Neil Young and Johnny Cash! Simply put... The Plaza Tavern + Plazaburger + cold beer = unbeatable good old Madison campus time.
